A walk around Whangarei Falls

This is one place we enjoyed seeing. The Whangarei Falls is just out of the city - very popular spot and well organized as we found when we arrived there as parking attendants showed us where to park our car and were friendly and helpful.

We decided to walk around from the start to finish which took us roughly about 20 minutes along a very easy loop walkway past the impressive waterfall.

And as you can see someone wanted his photo taken in front of the falls.....

Beautiful falls. I love waterfalls and walking into them is one of my favorite things to do. (I used to say hiking into them.... but now if there isn't a boardwalk or a good path I don't do it, so I guess walking is a better term). Is that guy photo-bombing the beautiful falls someone you know ;>)???

I love waterfalls too, and even if i am not very fit for hiking i really struggled just to see them here. And in my last escapade last April we had been to 4 waterfalls, in one we crossed 4 wide rivers and 2 streams. If that is not love enough, i don't know how to call it, haha! Where is Whangarei in NZ?

Triple falls. Waterfalls have a charm of their own. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm surprised there's so much water in the falls already Amy. You must have had a lot more rain than we have. Looks like wonderful place to visit, glad to see that you must be feeling better ✨
