Whenever we travel through Christchurch Airport we sometime find it a slightly overwhelming confusing experience as it isn't as easy to get through as Auckland Airport is unless you specifically know where you are going. Last time we were there last November I spotted these two large art installations hanging from the roof of the domestic baggage claim area. They were created by New Zealand artist Gregor Kegar who designed them to honour two things; South Island inventor Richard Pearse who flew an aircraft near Temuka 9 months before the American Wright Brothers first flight and Aotearoa being the land of the long white cloud. Linking up with Weekend Reflections and the Weekend Roundup .
