The local railway station is usually very busy. Every day it rocks in to drop off and pick up passengers for the Tranz Alpine from Greymouth to Christchurch.

I would love to travel on the trans alpine. I've seen a few programmes about the trip on tv here. It's on my bucket list

Good old-fashioned station - the eay stations should be😀 Colour, style, even the clock.
