Blossoms

These flowers are currently on my neighbour's plum tree but sadly this tree is due to be cut down and removed in November when he plans to put a new fence in, he does have a second plum tree elsewhere in his backyard too but it means we will no longer be able to pick up plums off the ground on our side of the property.

Aaaargh - you can't convince him to put a dog-leg in the fence then? Tell him the other plum tree won't fruit if it doesn't have this one as a pollinator.

That's sad. We had several plum trees years ago when we lived in the states and I loved picking the plums, so juicy and yummy. When we sold the house, the buyer cut them all down.

Always sad when a tree is killed.

Oh, what a pity, they can be so beautiful and delicious.

A pity the tree has to go, and your supply of plums. I hope at least he gives you plums from the other tree

...you need your own plum tree!

I hate to see trees cut down for any reason -- love flowering trees that still bear yummy fruit. I'm slowly coming back to blogging by visiting some of my favorite bloggers -- one of these days I'll rejoin the group. Thank you for yours!!

That's very sad indeed. Such trees are treasures in the garden. I'm feeling with you.

I'm always sad to see trees cut down in the name of "progress". I guess I don't much like that sort of progress.
