Rubbish

Most weekends we like to take our dog Bug to one of the local beaches (Rapahoe), She loves running around the wide open spaces sniffing at new smells. Yesterday it was a high of 10 degrees celsius so we made sure to dress warmly.

In the last month we have been taking rubbish bags to clean up and beach and some of the things we've been finding are dirty nappies, pieces of metal and broken glass, plastic and household items. There are some bigger items like burned engine parts and car seats that we can't take with us. People are so dirty and lazy. Once we get them home they go in the rubbish bin.

Love the name you gave your dog. Bug.😁
It annoys me so much when people throw their rubbish like that, especially in places where you go to walk and enjoy mother nature. We always carry a bag for rubbish too

It’s heartening to hear how you and Bug are not only enjoying the beach but also taking the time to care for it

It is amazing what people leave behind on the beach. Thank you for cleaning up there!

It is a shame what people are leaving behind! What is wrong with them?!

Unbelievable what gets left behind!
Huge respect for your efforts in keeping the beach clean—every little bit makes a difference.

Unfortunately, it is not better in many places here. Everywhere in nature you will find carelessly thrown away rubbish.

It really is awful to see how careless people can be.
