Last Summer we were visiting Reefton. As usual wherever I go I take photos of pretty much everything. I watched this man on his cellphone dodging traffic as he crossed the road. As for the cafe, I think we need to try their food next time we are there.

I take photos of everything too. Every one worth a thousand words they say. Even small things are of interest
That's a great way to take photos, you never know what will stand out and it's always nice to look back.
Looks like a good place to try. Take some pictures inside if you do.
You certainly are getting around these days.
Sounds like a lively scene—Reefton clearly has its charms, and that café definitely deserves a visit next time!
Lovely street photo.
I,too, love taking photos of everything. I would not try and cross a road whilst on the phone like the subject in your photo. It would just end in disaster for me.
To digital photography! in 1995 we traveled Australia for 6 months, I took 530 pics on film. 1999, 7 months, 413 pics. Perth 2024.... reckon! 2537 pics! One city versa whole Australia. Most is but in my brain, how sad.
Nice street photography indeed
I like the awning on this.
I pretty much do the same thing. You never know what you are going to find in those photos.
Most everybody seems to have white cars over there.
I’m the same—I love snapping photos of everything! But there's no way I’d try crossing a road while on my phone like that guy… I’d definitely trip or walk into something!
Everything white or light colored. Interesting!
lol! I also take photos of everything.
You've made me want to search out the photos I took on my visits to Reefton and, indeed, many other places in New Zealand when I was living there.
Nice photo. Two sides of the street, take your pick, sun or shade!
