Hanging around

I stopped in town one afternoon on the way home from work and noticed this man and his dog waiting outside one of the shops for someone inside, turned out it was his wife and she came out with a bag full of stuff. Just another hot dry Summer's day...

Linking up with Weekend ReflectionsShadow Shot Sunday and the Weekend Roundup.

love these photos of my old hometown, although some of the buildings have changed and what you think of as old buildings are new to me as I remember some of the buildings before them :)

But it is always striking that it is so quiet on the streets. Completely unlike here where I think it is sometimes far too busy.

I have been surprised how many farmer types i have seen trawling around the supermarket doing the household shopping. It seems that it's a chore being shared out more often these days. Bro does the household shopping here - and is less budget conscious than SiL would be. I am contantly thinking of ways to use oversupplies because he doesn't check the fridge and pantry before he charges off hunter-gathering.

A man waiting on his wife while she shops - at least he had his dog to keep him company on that quiet street.

The man looks like he's been waiting long enough and has given up! The dog is still alert though.
