Trolleys

Taken at the supermarket in Hokitika

There are major supermarket chains here in New Zealand. The main ones are Woolworths, New World and Pak n Save (the last one is cheaper than the rest because you pack your own groceries). The minor ones are Fresh Choice or Super Value or Four Square. Depending on where you live is what supermarket you have.  If you're in the city you might have access to multiple ones, if you live in a small town you might have one or two to choose from. The one in this photo is New World in Hokitika and it's actually a nice place to visit compared the one in my town.

Looks like our local new world - they must use the same plan to build everywhere. Does Countdown still exist?

We have to pay €2 for a trolley to unlock it but when we are done and return it, you get you money back. We have SuperValu here but it is an Irish company.

Are they shopping carts, trolleys, trundlers or buggies?

Nice that they are all inside.

My favourite was New World in Te Puke. Just the right size. I loved wandering around goggling at all the goods. And the parking was not too big and never full. 18 years ago
