Flags

 


It's been a busy week for me. I've taken on extra shifts at work and it feels like Spring is in the air here. This photo was taken last time we were in Hokitika a few months ago. The flag on the left is the New Zealand one and the one on the right is about ANZAC Day which is normally in April each year so maybe it was accidentally left up.

Nice to see the NZ flag flying. I've seen it quite a few times with the Olympics too

1995 we rolled into Carnarvon, Western-Australia. It was ANZAC-day (we had no idea, that was pre-internet), all shops were closed and the whole town was IN the parade. Thank you for the memory!! The parade was ... wow. Few tourists and some elderlies were cheering the parade.
