Greymouth Classic Car Show

This is a long post with lots of photos. Last Sunday the local Hot Rod and Classic Car group held an event down at one of the parks and I, like many others went along to have a look. I LOVE classic cars so I was in my happy place while I was drooling over them all. My favourite was a "Baby Austen" car as my late nana's last name was Austen and because she was the youngest one in her family her parents called her a Baby Austen. Enjoy the photos :-)

Some gorgeous vehicles. Some seemed familiar, from growing up in the 60s. I think I even drove a few. Heavens that ages me lol
Great photos

These old cars have so much character. It is great to see some people caring for them like this :)

BIG LOVE!
The turquoise one looks exactly like one in Cuba that was always parked opposite our hotel!
The house had the same color, too!
And once in Madeley/Perth there was such a show we ran into by accident, so darn cool.
Fun to see a "Käfer", as we call the Beetle, among them.

Simply Wow....I love old cars. But only to look at them. I don´t have the space for one. But I enjoy watching them. Once I visited an oldtimer-show. But there weren´t as many as you showed us.
I enjoyed scrolling through your pics.
Have a good time and all the best

What a selection of super fun automobiles! There are some overlaps with the US car market, I see, but then there are other goodies that look distinctly British in design. LOVE 'em.

Lots of historical cars - Car shows around here feature cars from the 60's and newer, mostly.

Oh my lord - I learned to drive (aged about 6) in that beige 1950's pickup with the aqua wheels, and graduated to the car in the first picture at 15 when I got my licence. Talk about driving tanks! (Cars last so long in NZ because we don't salt our roads. Some of those would fetch a fortune back in UK now.)

You sure did have a field day with all those cars. It sure was a large gathering of peoples' treasures.
