This is the local theatre in Westport and is located on the main street. We have a movie theatre in Greymouth too and despite the technology we have these days for downloading and streaming, people still seem to like going to the movies. I remember in the 1970s and 1980s my nana taking me to ones when we lived in Auckland and seeing films such as "The Muppet Movie", "Tom Thumb" etc. It use to be such a treat back.
Linking up with Mosaic Monday and Blue Monday.

...I haven't seen a movie in a theater in years.
Wonderfully composed and shot!
Local theatres often provide excellent entertainment. Do you visit the theatre?
I see you have the same architecture as in the old western villages in the cowboy movies. Big impressive facade with a wooden shed behind. Didn't know that that still exist.
I used to love the surround sound system and slurpee in the cinema. Now I just prefer to stay at my own home cinema lol
I went to the movies twice this year and discovered I quite liked the experience of watching the big screen. Nice to see people are still going to the movies downunder
Our cinemas in Glasgow (we don't have one on the Island any more) show many things including ballet and opera from places like the New York Met and I've been to a few of those. But I haven't seen a film as such since I lived near Napier and went to the little cinema there.
I just went to the movie theatre about two months ago for the first time in 3 years.
I haven't been in a movie theatre in a very long time.
Yes, hubby and myself love the cinema too.
Happy MosaicMonday
