In early Autumn we visited Reefton which is about an hour away from Greymouth. I loved this little town, it's very pretty, tidy and well looked after. While we were there I spotted another band rotunda like the one I saw in Westport last year. Just about every town in the country has one of these.
This one is in the King George V Jubilee Park and looks similar in age to the others I've seen - coming from around the 1910-1916 era in time.
Linking up with Skywatch Friday and All Seasons.

...many small towns here, have a park with a band stand.
Wonderful second shot of the bank rotunda. It looks to reign over its surrounds.
I do like idea of a band rotunda. I can see summer concerts there with picnics on the grass.
Quite a nice design of rotunda. Boutique looking.
Love seeing these in the park, although they seldom seem to have musicians in them anymore - but the children love them :)
And now with music inside.
I like the band rotunda concept. I went on a bus trip through Mexico years ago and it looked even the smallest of villages had band rotundas.
The rotunda looks very nice.
Nothing like a clear blue sky #Skywatch
And thanks also for sharing that crisp. but warm winter view with #Allseasons
Cool.
Lovely shot!
Do bands play there?
Lovely header.
That's a nice big blue sky! My town has what they call the gazebo in the park. It's under renovation. I have never known them to use is for any events.
Nice one.
I like it! The city where I grew up had one. I was always drawn to it for some reason.
No rotundas out here in my neck of the woods, so interesting that most of your small towns have one.
Lovely views.
Woow that one is very 'deco' compared to most of ths country's band rotundas. They must have been a bit later to that party. Does it ever get still used?
