One of the other local walks in between Stafford and Hokitika is the Tunnel Terrace Walk which originally were used for goldmining. The walk was about 20 minutes tops - the original entrace has been closed off due to rock falls so after walking about 100m up the road from the carpark we found another entrance. The photos are below that show the native bush, paths and plants etc.

What a marvellous walk. You live in an interesting area
Looks to me a very nice walk through a tropical forest.
That tunnel looks fascinating, but I don't think I would be brave enough to walk through there! I'd enjoy walking through the bush though :)
Beautiful shots!
Looks like a very nice walk through nature
It looks a lovely walk.
That tunnel looks a bit claustrophobic for me. Great scenery though.

Oh wow, what an adventure. I love stuff like this.
I'd love to walk through a tunnel like that. I was reminded of the inside of a lava tube I visited some years back. :)
how intriguing.
That looks like the sort of walk I love. Nothing compares with a bushwalk.
What a beautiful walk.
