Mawhera Quay at night

A night shot of how quiet it is in Greymouth at night. This was taken along Mawhera Quay next to the Grey River. Just before we got a few days of rain on and off so the purple skies in the background look moody to me. The art gallery is on the left and the clock tower is on the right.

Linking up with Through my lensRuby TuesdayTuesday TreasuresMy corner of the world and Wordless Wednesday.

Nice image! At first I thought the clock tower was a full moon. :)

That really is a purple sky! I have heard that description many times, but never actually seen one (even in a photograph). How beautiful.

I'm not sure that I've been in Greymouth when it wasn't raining. Actually that's not true but it seems like that. I recall being in Greymoth Countdown and buying some wine. The checkout lady asked me (around 70 at the time) with a totally deadpan face for proof of age. It took me more than a few seconds to realise that she was joking.
