Greymouth port history


Another Greymouth mural I've found painted on a fence between two buildings in town. This one looks like it depicts the town's shipping history which involved exporting much of the coal that was mined here in the old days.

I know all your area has such a rich history of coal mining, but it must have been a very harsh industry to work in. The men working the wharves probably had the better job.

Greymouth seems to have a lot of murals depicting the history of the area. They are very good.
