Acceptance

When we moved here to Greymouth we heard about a pink church in Blaketown so I did some digging behind it's story. Owned by local Sam Duckor-Jones it was once an Anglican church built in 1938 and is now a safe place for gay people - he's named it "Gloria". More photos and information about it here.

Linking up with Weekend Reflections and the Weekend Roundup.

We bought a house years ago and the kitchen was the colour of those doors, spent a week repainting. :) Thanks for the link, it was an interesting interview with the owner. I guess he loves the colour pink. :) Have a great weekend.

So a tiny little church but I am not over the moon about the very pink doors however God loves everyone and accepts everyone as they are.

Great colour for shock value in a rural township - but also a great idea.
