The "TranzAlpine" Train

We were lucky enough recently to see the "TranzAlpine" wending it's way past us as we were driving home. This passenger train runs from Greymouth to Christchurch and goes through some of the most amazing scenery in the South Island.

Linking up with Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup.

It would be incredible to be able to go on that trip one day as I have heard so much about it.

We took that train in 2015. Unfortunately it was very delayed and we didn't get into Christchurch until late in the evening.

There was a program about that train trip on TV here in Greece. The next week one of my fav vendors at the laiki asked me if I was from Springfield. Remarkably close. Not many Greeks would know Springfield unless they'd seen that program.

Nice shot of the train. I like traveling by train. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book. The only problem is, I can drive to my daughter's in 11 hours, but it takes most of 2 days to ride the train. I like your camper. The perfect way to travel.
