Melinda Butt

Another mural from Whangarei this week. Painted by artist Melinda Butt who describes her art as being on a mission to transform neglected functional spaces into bright enlivening experiences for the enjoyment of the community. I'm not sure what this one is but it's part of the Street Prints Manaia Festival.

Linking up with Mural Monday

What is the building and the space around it used for? Interesting mural and I'm wondering about the people who use the space around it / are influenced by it.

...she sure transformed a neglected space!

You may not be sure what this one is but I like it. It's made good use of weaving in some of the building like the windows.

I like this mural, a wonderful abstract. Thanks for the link to her website, she has some beauties on there too.

Well, it certainly does brighten up what looks like it could have been a rather dull corner.

This is a beautiful mural and sure it has transformed this space from a dull look to a wonderful attraction.
