Lemon and Paeroa

If you haven't seen this before it's a well known icon to us Kiwis. In the small town of Paeroa is this statue of a bottle of the fizzy drink "Lemon and Paeroa" which has a very unique taste. It was created in 1907 by combining lemon juice with carbonated water from this town and is now owned by Coca-Cola.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Tom's Signs.

Been there!
Pity it isn't still locally owned.
We enjoyed our visits to Paeroa. Good food and coffee, interesting art and antiques, and a really good pottery just up the road!!

I like this picture. It shows me something unknown, and very exotic from my part of the world. I'd like to taste it ! I hope it's getting better in NZ concerning the covid. I' m amazed to see empty stadiums in the pacific super rugby competition. I hope for you tha, concerning the epidemy, t you won't have the same kind of autumn and winter we had.

Oh for another taste of Lemon and Paris. I hope Coca-Cola can't and won't change the recipe

I haven't heard of this drink before and would love to try it. Pity it has been taken over by Coca-Cola.

...I enjoy signs like this! Last evening on the news I saw the Covid protests in NZ. Your leader was a shining star in the beginning of the pandemic, people are can be so impatient.

Hopefully Coca Cola kept the taste true to the original. Sounds refreshing!

Sounds like something I would try. Hopefully coca cola won't mess with it.
When the big mega brewers buy out the small guys, quality goes away.

In Finland one of biggest brewery has a giant can on their premises. It´s next to a Highway so plenty people sees it every day. It used to promote beer but that no-no these days. So stricly non alcohic beverage promoting nowadays. But statue of a boddle I see first time here.
