Combing the area

While we were holidaying in Taupo back in April I saw this mural/painting of a rooster on the outside of a locked up utility box. Apparently it was painted by artist Paul Walsh and named "Ruapehu Rooster".

Linking up with Mural Monday.

Fabulous rendition. Mr T encountered his first chook yesterday. Studied it from a safe distance.

Jamaica. Rooster. No sleeping in ever.
In working life you get up 04:40 am and on holiday. Rooster. Not funny. I was close to... you-know-what.
But beautiful mural.

...utility boxes have become street canvases for artists.

The rooster looks great on the utility box, much prettier than a plain boring box.

I just love street art like that and that's particularly good.

I think this utility box livened up the area and the rooster livened up the utility box. Sounds like a win-win to me!

That's a nice one.
I love spotting utility box art, too. :)

It's always a pleasure seeing those ugly boxes sporting imaginative art. I wonder why the rooster chose to put a rooster there?

A nice utility box and unusual subject too :)
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Amy.
Not sure why the link doesn't show the picture.
