Brunch at King Wah's

Last weekend in our quest to try new places to eat at we decided to give "King Wah's Buffet Restaurant" in Paihia a go. Nice outdoor courtyard area in the shade was a blessing from the Summer heat.

B ordered some battered oysters which to me is almost like sacrilege as I am a huge seafood fan and to me oysters are best raw with some lemon juice drizzled on them but each to their own I guess. I ordered a shrimp cocktail with pickled seaweed and coleslaw on the side - soooo good!

Linking up with Our World Tuesday, Tuesday Treasures, My Corner of the World and Wordless Wednesday.

Looks nice but not the sort of thing I would eat as I'm not keen on seafood

I'm not a seafood eater, but hopefully there would be more on the menu.

My mouth is watering. Seafood is my favourite kind of food and that looks like a plateful of heaven.

I agree with you about battered oysters and battered sausages! Yummy food anyway. Chinese here is a packet of instant noodles.

That looks very tasty! I'm with you on the oysters. They are perfect raw.

I'd go with your shrimp salad. Despite the fact that I love mussels I can't eat oysters. I think it stems from when I was about 5 watching my grandfather dip them in raw egg and just swallow them whole.

It's nice to visit new places. Your post is a breath of fresh air after reading so many that are locked down or full of photos with masked people :)

It's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
