Before masks...

2 years ago we were wandering around Auckland City - this was pre-covid and pre-masks. Now they are still in level 2 with people not able to travel on public transport unless they wear a masks. For people such as myself who suffer with hayfever allergies, the death stare when I sneeze is memorable.

But we are thankful that although I grew up here we don't live in the city anymore. We are well into Spring and I in amongst me working 4 days a week I have been out in the garden planting new plants and trying to propogate cuttings such as hebes, fuchsias, daisies and succulents.

There's something about the sun that just cheers you right up. Linking up with Skywatch Friday.

...per-masks, that's a good way to put it except if you are Trump.

Our masks do double duty now ... against the terrible smoke and for Covid.

I can imagine that Death Stare - suddenly people's tolerance for something as inane as hayfever has become zero. I feel for you.

Hello,

I have allergies year round, I can get stares at time too. Pretty scene and view. We are still wearing our mask and keeping a distance from everyone. Take care, enjoy your day! Wishing you a great weekend ahead.

I wonder if history will look back on this time as PC (pre-COVID) and AC? I wouldn't be surprised, as the pandemic seems to be changing everything, and life as we knew it PC may be forever changed.

My wife has bad allergies so she has been staying in a lot. I was on a bus today and everyone wore their mask. Our numbers are climbing up and there are some new rules coming this weekend. People are having too many contacts with others and not wearing masks or social distancing. :(

pre and post pandemic - I'm still trying to live within the pandemic

It all seems so surreal, doesn't it? I never, in my wildest dream, thought that we would actually be hit by a pandemic.

Oh I know how you feel Amy, I have allergies also, a cough that makes my eyes water nose sniffle, you can just imagine 😉 Thank goodness we are pretty on top of things here in WA, for the moment anyway, things can change overnight!

Would be great if we were post pandemic ~ not a big fan of the mask but necessary ~ LIfe has changed drastically ~ time will tell, as 'they' say ~

No one wear masks over here. I used one for a few days back in the Summer but it was just me.

Even here, coughing and sneezing in public are frowned on. I have allergies also so I get a few stares.

Your statement about sneezing made me laugh. I have the same problem and if I need to sneeze while in the public I'm feeling so self conscious. Even with a mask on, I feel like everyone is looking at me.
