Move the boat

I was out at Totara North this morning doing a spot of historical research and stopped off at the wharf where I saw this truck getting ready to move a boat out of the water.

Who knows where they were moving it to but the group of 3 people watching the goings on seemed a bit concerned that it was all going to plan. Oh well, at least the sun was out - first time in about 2 weeks.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday.

...it was hot here today, your header image sure looks cooling. BOAT stands for Break Out Another Thousand!

Sailing the boat to a new anchorage is my preferred way to get this done. Although I have seen some fairly large launches being carted down the road on trucks.

Because of winter storms all our boats used to be taken out of the water. Now we have a wonderful marina and it's not necessary any more.

Something interesting to watch. All you needed was a coffee in the hand.
Looks like a lovely winters day

Does not look in good condition, might be taking it off for repair

Hi Amy, For such a small, sleepy little place it's surprising how Totara North always offers something to look at.

Nobody has *ever* moved a boat without having two or three uninvited people watching to be sure it’s done correctly. ( Or at least that has been our experience (with considerably smaller boats). It makes it embarrassing to yell at each other while you are working ))).
