Tractors and containers

We were out at Ruapekapeka Pa a couple of weeks ago and this farming scene caught my eye.

Out in rural NZ this is a common sight. Many people use empty containers like sheds to store farming equipment in. Parking a tractor on the hill next to it is a wise move especially if we get lots of rain.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday.

Now that is a place name to get your tongue around! Sounds like some of these long greek ones.
Nice rural scene

Ah yes. Those containers are really useful. The local park uses them for workshops and storage. Sorry but the tractor stays outside (too big for a container).

Bought an empty container for work last year, use it for storage

It just struck me that containers are kind of like Quonset huts turned out to be. Inexpensive durable structures suitable for all sorts of purposes. Here in downtown Tulsa a developer made a shopping center out of used shipping containers. I was dubious but it turned out fabulously.

That's a nice scene … and a good idea to use empty containers for sheds/storage.

All the best Jan
