Keep Tokoroa Beautiful
In the shopping area of Tokoroa is this mural on the side of a bakery shop. In 2010 the outline was painted by urban artist Lady Diva and the colour was added by the hand prints of many South Waikato residents.
This mural was part of 5 others that were painted around the country in an effort to stamp out untidy graffiti - looks like it worked because it was still there when we visited in 2018.

Love the idea of the community joining in, we have a couple of artists that do the same thing. Tokoroa will certainly look colourful Amy 😊 You should link these murals to Monday Murals.
They need to do that a bit more offten over here
That mural is a beauty, Amy. A lot better than seeing graffiti eyesores.
I do like this mural.
We saw so many exciting murals on our travels..I was sad to miss the Wall art festival in Whanganui
What a lovely mural this is.
All the best Jan
Very nice mural!
I love that mural, very creative. I like some graffiti but it doesn't age well and most of it is just plain vandalism. We used to have a "permission zone" here in Tulsa where a liquor store let people do graffiti on their building and it was really nice for a while but the store went out of business and the graffiti is just meh.
