Those gray skies are coming...

This shot I took when we were driving along one of the main roads near where we live one evening. It's part of the main highway that links Tauranga City to Mount Maunganui, Te Puke and Whakatane.

We have another major storm coming this weekend no doubt with loads of rain and potential flooding for many areas. Thankfully we are in an apartment with good drainage so we never have any problems here but I have a work colleague whose brother lives in Reporoa, another town near Rotorua and in the last storm the region got lashed with, his house was flooded and deemed unrepairable it was so bad. I'm hoping this one is gone quickly...

Linking up with Skywatch Friday.

That sky really does look threatening! Wishing you good luck with this next storm. I'm also wondering if I could ever adjust to driving on the opposite side of the road!!

Not your usual blue skies. Hope the Bay gets it lightly

I am glad you are safe from the floods .... but sorry it is a worry for others.
When we see the ominous kind of sky you show it makes me feel a little nervous, even though we are safe where we live as well. (But I take pictures of it too -- and yours is a beautiful one.)

No flooding please, just rain is good.

The red and green of the traffic lights provide pinpoints of colour in a darkening scene. So sad about the flooding, however. My home province of British Columbia, Canada, is suffering much flooding right now because the heavy winter snowpack is melting too fast.
Here's hoping the floodwaters recede...yours as well as ours!
Thanks for sharing.
