Summer is at an end for us in the Southern Hemisphere. Hot temperatures are giving way to cooler days and nights - such bliss. No more sleeping with no sheets or blankets, no more having the fan on while sweltering, the beginning of golden colours.

I think is't especially cool that you have wooded hills near the shoreline. The only hills around our shore are condo's

Much as I love the heat (but not humidity) I was always grateful for the air-con for that half hour before I went to bed.
I should have added that as there is a gale blowing here at the moment that lookout tower would have been miles away by now.

That's a beautiful beach. I love your banner photo, it's so pretty. We are supposed to be very cold tomorrow with rain added. Winter shall wind down soon, I'm hoping.
And here we are, desperate for some warmth and sunshine as we have another weekend of snow and ice.
WA hasn't caught up with the program yet Amy, we're expecting another few 35C days this week! Not as hot as Sydney though!
Really reminds me of the Oregon Coast (not to surprising perhaps)..... it's the quiet and the greenery along the beach -- unlike the Atlantic or Caribbean here in this part of the country. (And making me a bit homesick for Oregon).
