Time for a family fishing day!
On my ventures out and about I spotted this mum with her boy fishing off the wharf at the base of the Mauao Walking track here in Tauranga. Was quite a choppy windy warm day but it was very nice to see them enjoying it in the outdoors.
Have you been fishing and if so what type of fish can you catch in your part of the world?

We don't fish, but we do see a few people fishing down by the sea, but I don't know what kind of fish they catch. I'm just not patient enough. :(
We don't fish either, too impatient to wait for a nice big catch :) But we love staying outdoors, just watching these boats is already a treat for me :)
I used to occasionally take my boys when they were younger and my dad took me when I was a kid, but it isn't an activity that I regularly do. When I have spare time, I'm always out on a motorcycle ride.
I wonder if they caught anything!
I can feel the wind and smell the water :)
not sure, I should've asked :-)
can't beat riding a motorbike either - lots of fun :-)
It's always great to see young kids enjoying old fashioned outdoor activities, with no electronics! Fishing is huge in coastal florida. Grouper, marlin, you name it. We haven't fished here yet. Too busy with other stuff. Bill caught halibut and salmon when we were in alaska last summer.
I am not much of a fisherman. We have tried a few times in the Hauraki, but I generally get bored long before I catch anything.
