On the phone

This seems to be a common thing these day - people constantly on their phones, it's like they can't put it down. Guess it's a sign of the times right? My cellphone is usually always on silent, I prefer texts to phone calls.

We were in Hokitika earlier this week and stopped in at our favourite cafe. This is one lunch meal I never miss out on - Eggs Benedict with salmon. This is one place we always go to when we are there, it's like whoever the chef is loves their job - you know when the food you eat tastes like it's been made with love. What's your favourite lunch meal?

I love that meal! It's not something I've seen on a menu for quite a while though. It's also quite a faff to make at home. So I just make some cheese sauce instead - lazy person that I am.

I use text messages too and rarely get a phone call. If I'm out I always have the phone but only for photos.
I'd love to try your eggs benedict and salmon. Sounds, very tasty

Hard to imagine now that thirty years ago a mobile phone was an almost unheard-of luxury :)

...I'm rarely on my phone!

Good observation, food made by somebody who likes cooking and cares about it definitely a lot better than somebody going through the motions.

That looks so good!

I usually have a sandwich or leftovers from the previous day. We rarely go out for lunch.

So true about cell phones.

Maybe she took your picture secretly? I can see her mobile camera is facing you. 🙂

You and me see eye to eye on mobile habits.

To be IN everyone needs a phone to take pictures, text or call someone, pay bills, etc. Our lives revolve around cell phones. Frontier men wore gun and holster, now adays we all are strapped to the cell. What will the future have us holding?

You're right... sign of the times. I'm as guilty as everyone else. I'm usually looking at a screen of some sort!
