This mural is painted next to the historical one I shared recently which is on the side of a building next to the Greymouth Star newspaper. This one looks like it depicts the town's mining history but I'm not 100% sure who the artist is.
Linking up with Mural Monday.

I recall seeing the historical mural when I was there in 2012 but not this one. There are so many talented street artists around these days who make it look so easy to produce these murals.
These always make my heart cringe.
How(mostly?) men went under the earth to get this stuff.
My Dad once took me on a tourist open train, I was maybe 4 and small, so I sat in front, it was horrible. As in I sat right behind the "driver"! Frightening. To imagine to be in there 8 hours a day...
Brave men who risked their lives for us to keep warm or get rich. Their women... maybe afraid each and every working day.
Great tribute!
So many great artists!! It must take a lot of artistic skill to do work on such a scale.
Love seeing these murals in our country towns as they add so much character to the place.
...I like historic murals and this is a nice one.
This one is well done.
It does look like a mining scene.
Nice historical mural.
Very beautiful historical mural. Thanks for contributing to Monday Murals Amy.
Nice find. I love the "heroic" industrial motif of the design.
I like how it is done, almost monochromatic.

Really nicely done. Historic murals always make me smile. I have friends who worked in the mining industry and if the mine didn't kill them, the air and dust they inhaled eventually did. Thanks for this bit of history, Amy.
A good piece of art. Great find. It's always nice to have murals narrate the history of the land. :)
Nice sepia tones.
