This memorial statue dedicated to Scottish hero Robert Burns is located in Hokitika and was unveiled on 4th June 1923. We were in town last week and enjoyed a lovely sunny warm Spring day - the skatepark behind the statue was very busy with lots of children (school holidays).

That is a nice skatepark right there
I never knew that was there - I thought you must have been down here in Dunedin.
That's an impressive statue.
I remember Hokitika mainly for its rain but I seem to recall it had a lovely glassworks.
That guy gets everywhere (my favorite, because I am parochial, is the seated statue in the Octagon in Dunedin.)
Nice statue and a good header. I like it.
I love old memorials and sculptures and yours is a great one. Also, looks like a very nice park and great skies.
Nice statue and park, I like it too.
Good to see the skatepark being utilised well!
...I searched Robert Burns he's my kind of fellow.
That looks like a beautiful day to be out.
Gosh! He sure is a long way from home. :-)
Quite a statue and, my. In my childhood there were NEVER holidays. Now I always read school kids are on holidays ;-) AGAIN???? LOL.
