B and I went for a sort of road trip over the weekend. We drove out to the Lower Buller Gorge from home, took us about an hour and a half. We stopped in Westport to top up his car tyre pressure, in the end it turns out a sensor is faulty and there was nothing wrong so he will have to get that looked at.

Very rugged country. The river doesnt look too high and I love the bush clad hills. So different to where I live now :)

Oh, don´t you hate that?! My company car told me the same and I panicked. For nothing, pressure on the tyre was OK!

But nice to go on a raodtrip And nice to see CALTEX (we don´t have that here).
Did you get as far up the gorge as that swing bridge across the river to a peninsular where they tried to build a tunnel through to divert the river so they could fetch gold out of the dried up bed? (White Creek) That's a good day out too. I love the Buller Gorge and up at that swing bridge place they have clearly marked out where the land moved in the big Murchison earthquake 1929. It really is a scenic place isn't it?
