One of the few things flowering in my backyard are the Camellia trees I planted last Spring. I have about 6 of them inside the fence line.
We went out to dinner for B's 60th birthday at one of the local restaurants. I ordered a Haloumi and Mushroom meal which was very tasty.
And we had 2 loads of firewood delivered which means we are fixed for the rest of Winter.

The meal looks scrumptious. The fire woods look too good to burn!
That line of camelias must brighten a winter's day.
And lots of firewood to warm the bones.
Good food. Yum
Beautiful flower and that firewood is beautiful finished with straight edges.
the flower is gorgeous. Having your wood ready to burn is very satisfying.
That meal sounds delicious. How lovely to have colour on your garden at this time of the year.
Lovely captures of the food, firewood and the flower!
Great shots! Thank you so much for sharing them with us at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2024/06/the-lords-new-church.html

...I love camellias, but they aren't hardy enough to grow here.
Pretty flowers and that food looks great. That is quite a load of firewood.
To many more happy years and yummy food!
That's a lot of firewood.
When we lived in Arizona when I was a kid we heated the house with the fireplace. The local sawmill discarded all their miscellaneous end pieces of boards and the townspeople would haul them off for firewood. So we burned lots of boards to keep the house warm.
I'm enjoying my neighbours camellias at the moment, have always loved them. Your celebratory dinner looks very yummy.
Who had the joy of stacking all that firewood? Lovely camelia
