Eyes

In a nearby suburb in Greymouth I've been watching the reconstruction of this house and last week I saw that someone had painted a very spacey mural on the outside.

Personally I really like it - it's kind of weird. What do you think?

Linking up with Mural Monday.

I do like it but wonder what it's all about . A crying eye? Any mural that brightens the neighbourhood is great. Is that a private house?

Yes. The crying eye puzzled me too.

The eye takes in the world around on the moment and is not to happy about it.

I like it, I don't understand but I still like it.

It certainly "stands out" - but perhaps they're not done with the renovation yet?

I like it too!

I wouldn't do it myself but I love it. One of my very 'off the wall' cousins lives in Invercargill and in his worst non-conformist years painted the weather boards of his house in rainbow stripes. (And he kept kuni kuni pigs in his backyard - the neighbours must have despaired).

How odd. I think it would grow on you. It's weirdly cheery - I guess the colours. THere's a building near us painted in rainbow flag - I actually don't know if it is the rainbow flag but in the marriage equality pllebiscite they wrote a big YES on the front of the building so now I think it's the rainbow flag....Anyway, it's sort of my favourite house to walk past now because it's so cheery in a grey street! #MuralMondays

It’s a pleasing composition, so why should it have to mean something?
