We've had some really good Summer weather lately including a lot of hot days. I was strolling around one of the main streets last week and noticed how many of the old buildings are having to come down due to being earthquake prone. We don't get major earthquakes here, so far we've only had a few small ones in the 2 years we've been here. The shop on the left "Nimmo" is one that sells not only artwork but also Possum/Merino clothing, pottery, jewellery and other Knick knacks. I must pop in one day and have a look.

The rain is pouring like nuts here now
We brought back a possum knitted hat last time we were in NZ . It's so warm and sunny ft.
...I love those vintage cars!
It's sad to see those old buildings go but prioritizing safety is the top concern.
Hugs and blessings, Amy
Love your header!
Very cool new header! Earthquakes sounds very scary and really... I´d stormed that shop at once!
Better to be safe rather than sorry when it comes to being earthquake safe.
That sounds like a very interesting place to browse around.
Nice new header! Those cars are nice to see.
FOOD FOR MY SOUL! One of the things I loved so much about my decade in New Zealand was the classic and vintage cars.
Hey - look at what happened to Christchurch! They didn't get earthquakes either - until they got one. Murchison is not so very far away from you and remember what happened there too. I bet they felt that one in Greymouth.
I'm very late commenting today... I'm amazed at how quickly the days fly by again in the new year.
Your post is a feast for the eyes in many ways. A very welcome change when I look out of the window here at how rainy and dreary it is here. Well... it's January, it's winter time. It's supposed to get really cold in the next few days (-10 C°) and it's supposed to snow. Thank you for your contribution to

Once again, best wishes for a healthy, happy new year 2024,
