Happy New Year

View from my work over the Pohutukawa Trees

With Christmas and the New Year finally over it's time for new beginnings. Yesterday was my last day at work and tomorrow is going to be the first day in my new job. We had very quiet New Year celebrations here - the fire works display in town was sadly cancelled at the last minute and we didn't hear any local ones at home. By the time I finished work I couldn't wait to sleep and apparently everyone else was in the same boat. I'm hoping you had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year to you!

Good luck in your new job.

We had a quiet New Year until midnight when the fireworks went off. New this year were some of our neighbors shooting their firearms into the air. Hope they were shooting blanks!!
They were wise to cancel the fireworks - so many fires around the country because people were letting them off in dry and/or windy conditions. I felt for the firemen who had to attend them instead of enjoying their families at home.
I hope your new job works out well. Mxx

Happy New Year! That's a nice view. There were a few fireworks here but none were very close to where I was. Now back to work.

Happy new year Amy. My celebration was in bed with either food poisoning or some stomach bug 😁 of which I am still recovering. Good luck in your new job!

The holidays are finally over.

Now we are curious to see what the turn of the year will bring? Hopefully more peace, more insight into sustainability for the whole of nature. It is urgently needed!

Thank you so much for this wonderful post,
MosaicMonday

Warm hugs from Heidrun, I wish you and your family a healthy, happy new year 2024

Wonderful photo of trees and the horizon.
No fireworks here. I live in the middle of nowhere.
