Grab a pie

Here in New Zealand we love our pies and you can get so many varieties. Personally mine are either Mussell or Seafood pie - all cafes, supermarkets and eating places sell them. What's your favourite?

Linking up with Weekend Reflections and the Weekend Roundup.

I had a similar gait when I tried to get a pie in the morning.

Amy I do not eat pies although there are steak and kidney pies available. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stesk and cheese but i was disappointed with the general quality of pies last time we were home. Pies should be good everywhere with EXCEPTIONAL pies available from devoted pie makers, but we got some very disappointing offerings in places I had always remembered as those exceptionally devoted pie bakers. Maybe their reputations earn them enough money to sell up and retire and the next owners don't have the touch.

Oh I would love a good NZ pie. Just a plain old mince one with loads of tomato sauce. We have tried so many times to make them but they're just not the same

I have a mouth watering experience just now but helas pies are nearly unknown in the Netherlands. Sometimes an English or Irish expat sart a little pie shop but it always dies a early death by lack of clientele.

I rarely eat out or buy take-away meals, but I sometimes make ham and cheese quiche at home. That or minced meat is also likely to be my choice if I choose pie at a café/restaurant. Or apple pie or some kind of berries for dessert :)

We have fish pies but I haven't had one.

I don't think I've ever heard of a mussel or seafood pie. Sounds interesting.

I love a savory pie, but it seems they've fallen out of fashion in my culture. We grew up with beef and chicken pies. I'd rather a seafood pie. I'm a bit of a lazy cook, so doubt I'd ever bake one myself.

Tom must have forgotten, but we in the U.S. have had Chicken Pot Pie, Mince Meat Pie, and Crawfish Pie since the Pilgrims and the Cajuns came here.
I like chicken pot pie, havent had crawfish pie. But I will ask our Orleans restaurant the first Sunday in September. Otherwise the pie I am eating would be my favorite. We just fiished a Cherry Pie last night, had i a la mode with ice cream.

Great reflection shot! I like an occasional chicken pot pie, but my favorite is fruit pie. My mom made the best apple pies, but I also like cherry. Have a wonderful week.

Canada has something called tourtiere- a meat pie.

I'm more likely to eat a Cornish pastie (meat an potato) in the UK. In New Zealand it would probably be a mince and mushroom pie with fabulous flaky pastry.
