We seem to have found some more original art deco wallpaper in the house, this time on the floor of the old hot water linen cupboard. Funny thing is it's on top of the original rimu floor boards - not sure why anyone would want to cover these up. We are considering whether to sand and polish them or cover with the lino that's already there.
Spring is nearly upon us though. By September the 1st it will be the first day of the season. My daffodil bulbs are flowering next to the dormant roses. I stopped by the local garden centre last week and bought a Pandorea Rosea which is a type of pink flowering climber, kind of like a Jasmine for the front fence - it needs some colour. My daughter dropped off her 3 rats at the vet centre too for neutering, they are cute but boy do they smell.
Linking up with Blue Monday and Mosaic Monday.

Beautiful art pieces in the garden
Even adjusting for the flipped seasons, your spring comes early.
...Rats?
Nice pattern that old wallpaper.
I would keep the rimu floor boards. But do they need much care and up keep?
Lovely daffodils. A celebration of spring, almost
Interesting find.
The old wallpaper looks nice. Spring is arriving, enjoy the transition.
It's funny how they used to cover up gorgeous floorboards....and cute little fairy! #BlueMonday
We never know what we might find covered up in the preowned buildings. This one was very pretty.
..
I forgot to mention the little fairy garden, I love them after finding quite a few on our trip to the Isle of Man. Their roads would divide for them. Some of the nurseries here do stock fairy garden pieces.
..
Art Deco is very fine.
Thank you for sharing, dear blogfriend and being part of

Wish you a wonderful week, hugs by Heidrun
Really rats? Love the daffodils and Spring!! I love seeing it twice through the miracles of blogland.
I have to flip my brain to remember you are on the opposite side of our blue orb. Yes, Oscar and Molson were rats that belonged to our son and his then wife. She used them in her classroom. Still, rats.
I guess there was a time when bare floor boards suggested poverty - and rimu was no big deal in those days....everyone had it.
