Queue

I couldn't believe it one morning when I was in town for a haircut. I'd parker my car down the road further and was walking past the local library when I saw a queue of people waiting outside for it to open, it's not often I see something like this.

Linking up with Weekend Reflections and the Weekend Roundup.

Here it depends on the branch, but I am rarely near a library at opening hours.

Still a small queue by comparison to where I live lol

...a queue is a term that I don't hear often.

Looks like a nice place to read a book. The only time we've seen a line at our libraries is when they are lined up to vote. We aren't very proud of those lines but that doesn't happen very often. Since we are retired we try to go during the middle of the day, most times no lines there.

Libraries are great places.

This librarian loves that people are waiting for the library to open. That happens here too where I live in California.

I think we queue for everything here.

They must have a thirst for knowledge.

Even with Kindle real books are still no one. There's something about turning those pages, flicking backwards and forwards. Lucky you to have a library! Though we do have a few shelves of free books to read and swap

I've never seen a queue for our library except when checking out and now there are machines that you can check yourself in or out.

I've never seen a queue at the library. Yours look like a nice place with the sun coming in through those windows. Hope you liked your haircut!
I was going to say that it's hopeful to see people wanting to read! But I think often nowadays people use Libraries because they have computers available to the public. I kind of miss going to my local Libraries now that I read almost only on my Kindle. (I still use my Library card to borrow books on line).
