The Vintage Collective

So last week R (my daughter) and I finally popped into a local shop named "The Vintage Collective" that has been open for a while. Any 2nd hand shops in town aren't that great, in fact we haven't found anything really that has anything decent...until now.

I sometimes collect vintage stuff but it has to be something that will go with my house interior or something I can use.

In the end I bought an old Brownie camera, a green tea cup and saucer and a lovely 1960s pea green coat. The prices were pretty reasonable too.

The first camera I ever used was my mother's brownie camera. I was in 10th grade. Had lots of fun with it. I would definitely stop in and browse in that shop.

Are you going to use the camera? I saw a man in the street using one, and he was dressed to match (like Max Dupain!) #BlueMonday

That's a shop I'd like to visit, especially if I could find a bargain like that lovely coat.

Yes these types of 2nd hand stores can be a true treasure trove. That coat, for example, is amazing. Good find.

Well, hello Amy! Nice to see you. 🙂

I go to flea markets and/or other vintage/retro places regulary. Bought tons of stuff over the years. Actually not long ago I was photographer in recycling center´s webstore. Best job I ever had.

Nice finds! I am lucky I find such things in the street. In fact I´ve never been in such a store (way too dangerous).

F has to sooo stay away from such places. We live in a village of charity second hand shops - 13 last count - and you can easily make a full day out of doing the rounds.
