Smoked seafood

An old photo from about 2014/2015 back when we lived in Mangawhai. Every weekend markets are held down outside the local hall where people sell their products. Most weeks there is either someone selling fresh Pahi oysters or fresh smoked fish and mussells. I wish I'd tried them but I never did as I am a huge seafood fan.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Tom's signs.

Edited to add: RIP Queen Elizabeth II - born 21 April 1926, died September 9th 2022

I'd go for other things. But a farmer's market is well worth going to.

F loves smoked anything. In Germany the fishing boats put the smokers on the aft deck on market day and sold the smoked fish right off the boat. They put eggs under a wet sack on top and you could get hot smoked eggs as well. They were yummy.

Ingo would´ve loved this. I would´ve gone on a walk to avoid the smell, LOL.

So sorry about the Queen. She did live a life well lived.
She started her reign about three years before I was born so I always felt she had a an air of constancy about her. She'll be missed.

I will miss Queen Elizabeth. I remember my dad woke me up (I think it was at 3 or 4 in the morning) to listen to the radio broadcast of her Coronation Day. He said, "History is being made." I had to go to school the next day. And her reign was like that, show up with a smile and do the day.
