There are quite a few little old houses in the far north of New Zealand where I live. These 4 are in and around Awanui and Kaitaia. I always like to imagine their history and memories that they hold inside.

Interesting small buildings.
Little od houses look like they need some TLC
I am the same - imagining history and lives in abandoned houses, old graveyards...
I always wonder about the abandoned houses. Who lived in them, what did they do for a living, where did they go.
They look very old...or just neglected and weather worn....#ThruMyLens.
Some old abandoned houses just look as if they waiting for someone to move in....
Whoever owns the land should fix these old houses up or build some new ones
They always make me sad. Neglected and unloved.
So pretty!
Old houses make me sad too.
Happy Tuesday, Amy.
...these homes look like they were popular long before "Tiny Homes" became trendy. I wonder about their stories too. Thank Amy for coming to the party.
It does make you wonder about their histories. That first photo is beautiful with that tall grass in the foreground.
Those really are little houses. Wouldn't it be interesting to hear about the people that lived in them.
Great series of photos of 'little houses' ~ Xo

I enjoy old buildings (houses or commercial buildings) and am with those who imagine activities and lives that were spent on those floors, behind those windows!
They would not have been out of place in the countryside here.
They are always sad to see, I think. And like you, I always wonder about the stories they could tell.
I love to photograph old abandoned houses and barns, although not many nearby.

Beautiful photos. When I see houses like this, I also like to imagine how many life stories they would have to tell.
First of all, they make such great postcards of the NZ countryside. :)
And what a lovely subject to photograph. Each one of them makes you wonder about who lived there and what it was like, living there. :)
