That is the wharf where I caught my only John Dory. My parents were visiting from England and someone kindly gave me another one for them.
That is so true! Fresh fish makes all the difference.
Perhaps that's where the Mangonui Fish Shop gets theirs from. I always stop there for fish and chips when going north.
