Friday skies at Pilot Bay

Sometimes on Friday nights after work we walk down to local Pilot Bay to check out the latest cruise ships and relax in the beachside scenery. I think I was playing around with my camera while wearing my sunglasses and this is the tinted shade I got.

The view from where we walked along the long path, cruise ships in the background and to the right of the photo is part of the Port of Tauranga, quite a lengthy area.

More Skywatch Fridays here :-)

It looks like your camera was wearing the sunnies, Amy. Love the sunrays you captured!

Two cruise ships is quite a lot. The town must get pretty busy on days like that.

we usually have 2 maybe every 2 days so yep it gets pretty busy here.

Great place to walk; I'm guessing that those of you who live there kind of have a love-hate relationship with the cruise ships.... that many people really must crowd things up when the ships are in. Reminds me of seeing the cruise ships in small cities in Alaska when we were there (not on a cruise)... But you have uch a beautiful place to live I'd happ8ily put up with the crowds just to be able to walk on that beach regularly.

hey Sallie, we actually don't mind the cruise ships, besides the tourists are good for local businesses :-)
