Winter skies and reflections over Tauranga Marina

This morning after dropping B at work I drove around in the early morning chill with my camera looking for things that caught my eye. This is one of my favourite quiet spots to sit and think, it's the wharf down at Tauranga Marina, where boats are moored, there's a restaurant belonging to ex ACDC drummer Phil and in the distance is the motorway that links Mount Maunganui to Tauranga city plus nearby is the Port of Tauranga. I relish moments like this as there's hardly anyone else out and about.

yes it was, it was only about 7.45am so not many people out and about on a Saturday morning :-)

You captured that gentle early morning light so well! The reflections are lovely. Love your header - is that the restaurant?

hi Pauline, thanks for the kind words, the header is from Pilot Bay here in Mount Maunganui - it's also a nice area on the harbour :-)

Morning's definitely the best time to get out and about for scenic pictures (and the quiet and lack of hustle and bustle is good for the spirit too). All of that shines through in this lovely picture.
