Grafton, in upper Auckland City is one of my favourite areas to visit. So many old buildings mixed with the new ones.

Old and new combined is always wonderful. Yippee to yours! Here they crash down and build anew :-( Sad. No respect.
I think I have had my fill of cities for a while - even a quiet place like your photo is a bit too concrete at the moment.

We came in early for our NZ Australia cruse so the cruise company put us up in a large hotel in Auckland. That wasn't what we came for so several of us took a ferry to a large island to the east. Climbed the little "mountain" too..
