When we lived in Tauranga back in 2017 we use to travel to Tokoroa to see an old school friend of mine who lives there. Its a very small town and we drove into the town center on a very busy rainy weekday. This is what many New Zealand towns look like; filled with coffee shops, supermarkets big and small, dairies and other retail shops.

Is Tokoroa a small town? Friends of my parents used to live there - worked at Forest Products mill
Looks like a neat place!
And carved wood sculptures, and brilliant second hand book shops....
A lovely bustling town by the looks of it!
The only difference with the Netherlands is the language.
...this is a colorful corner.
Gives a good idea how it looks there.
This is a scene of the New Zealand I loved when we visited.
Looks inviting.
Busy street
Looks good, it has everything you need.
Busy street.
The scenes you show of towns in your country look thriving with commercial activity. Here, not so much downtowns are deserted and the commerce is at the Walmart and Dollar General stores on the edge of town.
Lovely capture of the town!
I like that your pavements are covered so you can stroll in sun or rain with ease (I am usually melting if it rains).
This photo looks busier than what you normally share. Love it.
