Last Friday night our local council held an event "The Friday night Street Eats" in the town square so my daughter R and I went along for something to do. It was a hot afternoon with the temperature at about 24 degrees celsius so the first thing we bought was an ice cream each. Apart from that there seemed to be the usual food trucks like coffee, donuts, hotdogs etc - the only unusual food stall we saw was a group of people cooking Indonesian type food but it was too hot for that. A fireworks display was due to go off later that night about 10.30pm but we didn't stay longer than an hour. I don't think we will probably go next time but enjoy the photos.

Its always a big party with and so much fun with rolling kitchens. Very nice.
Maybe next time it will grow a little and they'll have more variety. It sounds a good idea for a summer Friday evening
Good idea for bringing the community out but it must be a bit of a downer for established businesses who rely on Friday night eat-out trade. Pity they couldn't find some more slightly exotic stuff than donuts.
This would be lovely to stroll through these vans
It looks like a fun community event.
Doesn't look very popular!
Looks like an awesome event.
I'd be eager to sample all the different foods!
Happy Tuesday, Amy!
This looks like fun! I bet the aroma of the food in the air brought people out to enjoy a lovely day!

...locally, "food truck rodeos" are popular!
Due to a mixup with e-mail addresses attached to Skywatch Friday, I've missed several of your comments on Owl's Farm posts. Now that I've finally straightened things out, I see what I've missed and will try to make it up with more frequent visits to your lovely site. You and I have Tigger (and Mum) in common-and I'm always happy to visit New Zealish sites. This particular post makes me all the more regretful that my husband and I didn't get a philosophy gig out your way (some 30 years ago!).
Thanks for visiting the Farm, and for this very interesting blog that takes me away from things north of the equator.
Thank you for showing me this place
I am so very aged and confused that I only now realized that you are the Amy who was Tigger's Mum. As I'm fond of saying (to anyone I run into): don't get old. It's just embarrassing.
Well hello Amy! Nice to see you. Beginning of this month we had -23C. I so envy you.
In my hometown there´s International Food Market couple of times in the Summertime. Normaly there´s no food"trucks" in here. Haven´t try anything "too" foreign. I´ve visited local places though. Italian-, Thai-, Chinese-food mostly. And Kebabs of cource. But that´s about it. I seldomly eat at restaurants. Most of times I just order them delivered to my home.
I like your photos here. Nice Street Photography!
Always a good and great outing in such a Food Market area to meet friends and find some great food treats.
I visited you via image-in-ing: Wandering around the beautiful city of Metz
