Auckland Airport - November 2023 |
Last time we were in Auckland in November the minute we got off the plane, the humidity hit us. That's something we don't really get in the South Island but we are in the beginning of an El Nino season this Summer.
Last year was very very hot and dry whereas this year so far most of the country has had huge amounts of rain and small amounts of sun. At least the garden doesn't mind.

I like this kind of weather!
It is now raining cats and dogs here
Its wet everywhere.
Kind of hard to remember 'hot and humid' here at the moment as we're dealing with variations of snow, rain and ice ;)
Hope you get more sunshine for the rest of the summer.
In Singapore recently my kiwi friend and I commented on that 'Auckland airport smell' - what is is like getting off a plane there early in the morning and smelling that vegetation smell, greenery and humidity. It is always a 'coming home' smell for both of us even though neither of us are from Auckland.
...it's raining here too!
We are hoping for more rain here in a few days. Fingers crossed!
It's raining off and on here today which is kind of normal.
In Mumbai its always hot and humid!
Hot and humid here too :)
Humidity get to me. I didn't really know how it could be until I got off a plane in Puerto Rico. I thought I'd never be able to breath on my vacation! Fortunately, it was okay near the water.
Humidity is the worst.
I can understand that feeling. After living in the desert so long, I feel the humidity first thing when I travel.
Haha, at least some positive aspect, a nice green garden.all the best in 2024.
Humidity is something I dislike.
It has been way too warm and dry here.
