Blue house


I spotted this little house for sale in Murchison last year. A very pretty wee stucco house from the 1930s era, there are a few properties around the country like this. This one painted blue stands out a mile but not sure I would keep the colour if I owned it. I'd probably be a bit more traditional.

You wouldn't have to worry about visitors not finding your house! Reminds me of an orange house here, it sticks out a mile. I presume that one was supposed to be terracotta. Maybe

1930s is long way back in in time. The house is a beaut and will still be there for many years to come. That's just my humble opinion.

I think I would keep it blue..but tone it down a little!

I'd keep the blue. My late paternal grandmother always lamented being unable to teach me proper design skills. I like what I like, and what I like is often very colorful.

That is absolutely the most amazing color ever! In fact, it's the color of my front door! My house is yellow.

Family

  Photo taken Spring 2024 in Auckland We have been invited to a family reunion in June 2026 which will be held in Auckland so I'm looking forward to catching up with relatives that I haven't seen in over 10 years.  This week we have: Had a good chat with a friend who has also adopted a rescue dog - must arrange a play date. I've bought some non alcoholic liqueurs to mix up for mocktails which have been very nice as I don't really drink. We had a massive wind storm 2 days ago, we were ok but a good friend who lives 20 minutes away had a bolt of lightning strike her house, the result was a blown up power box inside and part of her kitchen got burned, she had to call out the fire brigade to put it out. Hail

  Spring is throwing out some strange weather right now. We don't get snow where we live but it is visible on some of the mountains around us over Winter. Last week around 4.30am we had a very loud thunderstorm with hail. It wasn't until an hour or so later my daughter said this is what she saw out on our deck.  Clumps of hail all over the deck and on her hand. Apparently various other suburbs around town got it too.
